The Swan has seven individually designed and supremely comfortable en-suite guest bedrooms with Roberts dab radios, water, Ubiety bath products, Smart TVs & free wifi. There are six bedrooms on the first floor comprising 3 large doubles, 2 medium doubles and 1 small double. The upstairs 7th bedroom is a spacious, light filled loft room.
We are also super-dog-friendly at The Swan, and our four-legged companions are welcome in the bar and outside areas and in all our stylish bedrooms.
All rooms booked direct include a delicious breakfast (unless the rate is a special offer or package and breakfast is specifically excluded).
Sleek white-painted tongue and groove panelling and airy 60’s vibe punctuated with vibrant bursts of colour and textural prints to create a fresh and informal mood. In each en-suite bathroom simplicity is the key with large wall-mounted basins and deep built-in baths offering a sense of space and minimalism.
Room 7 up in the loft has high vaulted ceilings, loads of light and is decorated in dusky pinks, blues and greys with a king size bed and a claw foot bath in the room. There is a separate wet room with power shower.
The 3 big rooms on the first floor have been decorated in a calm and restful palette of soft neutrals and stony grey tones punctuated with pretty textiles and traditional florals. All three large doubles have claw-foot baths and power showers in their en-suite bathrooms.
Check in is from 3pm although it’s always possible that the room will be available earlier, so please call us and check. Departure is from 11am although we are happy to leave it until later if there are no incoming guests for the room.
Please note that the hotel does not operate a 24 reception desk, so if you plan to arrive after 10pm please call the hotel in advance so they can arrange access.
We have parking available at rear of the hotel for residents, which can be accessed through the arched entrance off the B3139. If the car park is full there is free on street parking in the surrounding roads and in the village car park which is signposted.
Dogs are welcome in all rooms at a charge of £15 per dog per stay. However, if you are bringing a dog then they must not be left alone in the bedroom/bathroom at any time unless they are in a secure crate. Your dog can accompany you to the bar and the terrace and garden, where we serve our full restaurant menu, so they need not spend any time without you! Any damage caused to the paintwork or furnishings by a dog left unaccompanied will be chargeable.
Any Advanced Purchase Early Booker rates must be pre-paid in full at the time of the booking and are non-refundable and non-transferable. For all other bookings we ask that they are cancelled or amended before midnight 7 full days prior to arrival date to avoid a penalty charge of the full stay. We ask that bookings of 3 or more rooms are cancelled or amended 14 days prior to arrival date to avoid cancellation charges.
Please note we do not pay commission to 3rd party agents who book direct with the hotel and/or with whom there is no signed, written contract.

Wedmore is a rural village, and thus public transport is limited. The Swan can be easily found by car in the centre of Wedmore and can be accessed from the B3139, which runs due east from the M5.
Highbridge & Burnham is the nearest train station, approximately 20 minutes’ drive.
Buses run infrequently. There are a limited number of services between Wedmore and
Taunton, Bridgwater, Street, Wells and Weston-super-Mare. Details can be found here.
All the public areas at The Swan are on the ground floor. There is level access from the car park to the restaurant. There is a toilet suitable for wheelchair users, accessible via a gently sloping corridor.
Unfortunately, as The Swan is more than 200 years old, full wheelchair access to the upper floors is not possible as the only access is via a staircase. Unfortunately, the design and age of the building does not allow any space for the provision of a lift or dedicated and fully accessible bedroom. Please do call if you would like any advice.
